This quiz is truly the ultimate test of otakudom. Over 140 different series from 1996 to 2008, regarded as the "top" moé-moé shows by Megami Magazine. School-daze comedy, romantic drama, harem, slice-of-life... everything that makes the hearts of fanboys (and fangirls) go "doki-doki!" Whether you're a hard-core otaku, or new to the medium, you'll find a challenge in this quiz. Or even if you don't care to test your knowledge, this serves as a great way to learn more about the more popular titles from each year of the last decade.

@15 - I think the idea's been floated about here and there. I definitely want to do it. Maybe after we finish the "Best Anime of 2009" Survey, we'll put it together. ^___^
@16 - hehheh, well, Megami likes cute girls, so it's basically limited to those. I would have loved to see some Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop in there, but I don't think Major Kusanagi and Faye Valetine meet their standards of moe-moe. |

Got 66. I thought it would be the older anime that I'd struggle at but I actually did all right there. It was the string of terribly same-y harem shows from 2000-2004 that killed me. I think there was one point where I went past 4 pages and only recognised Full Metal Panic |

| Here I was expecting (or at least hoping for) a quiz about relatively unknown gems and artistically memorable shows. Not that it was completely void of shows like that, but needless to say I was disappointed. Honestly I'm completely indifferent about most of the titles in there, and I think my score (33) speaks for that. Oh well, it was still fun to take.

| Would have gotten around/ above the 60 mark but I got 56.
This is what happens when only focus on one field of animes. Namely Ecchi. Fortunately I got most of the mainstream animes, like Gurren and Neon Genesis. Just can't believe there were more than 1 with Da Capo! I should have recognize those! And the previous animes in the early years,ex:Happy lesson, Hani Hani. I seen them but can't remember! Either way this was really fun and hope you do something like this again guys!

| | @29 - don't be so quick to discard those girly, pervy shows... a lot of them have beautiful stories. Air, Kanon 2006, CLANNAD, Chobits, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien are all tear-jerkers. There are some cooler shows in there, too, with plenty of action and awesomeness, like You're Under Arrest, Shakugan no Shana, IdolMaster Xenoglossia, Inukami, Simone, Fate/stay Night, Martian Successor Nadesico, Read or Die, Kiddy Grade, and Full Metal Panic!. |

Indeed. Megami mags mainly focus on "picture pretty" so some of the pics aren't really an accurate representation of the show's actual mood. Though to be fair, Megami is famous for their ecchi pics lol |

| | 24 pure correct, 26 counting close misses :( I literally bombed the entire 2002-2004 section. The only sections I could remotely answer was past '05, the random ones, and a bit of the 96-01. I only started watching anime around '05, but man, this sucks, getting a low score :( Some of them I could have guessed (I knew the animes, one or two i even watched for a spate) but it didn't click until I saw the answers.......It would be nicer to guess using male photos though, and seriously, the ecchi was a tad bit overdone. Still, another quiz would be nice :) |

| | crap and here i thought i was an absolute animeFREAK, got 116 right, since i am just 21 years old some of the animes between 1996 and 2001 gave me a headache^^ furthermore i only watch series and not so that many OVAs or movies, furthermore some names are just hard to remember (i was proud that i still knew "Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na" although i didnt like the anime that much^^, but thanks to this survey i have some new animes to watch that didnt interest me till now |
